Caterpillar Canopy
Caterpillar Canopy is a sculptural meeting place created by Lifetime Guarantee in 2023. The seats and caterpillar faces are made of cast iron, the leaf is CNC plasma cut steel and it incorporates scrap steel and mixed media. The shade of a big leaf and tractor-seat-inspired spinning stools provide visitors a creative place to sit, play, and converse. Colorful double headed caterpillars nibble at the leafy canopy, representing growth and transformation. The piece is installed next to the main studio at WNC and allows artists and visitors alike a site of respite and fun.
