LIFETIME GUARANTEE
Lifetime Guarantee is a collaboration between Jenny Hillenbrand and Kristen Tordella-Williams. They met at Alfred University in 2010 and have since created multiple performances, collaborative experiences, and companion sculptures. Related to Paul McCarthy, Bruce Nauman, and Trigger Happy TV, their work highlights the humorous and poignant relationships between domestic environments and the body. Lifetime Guarantee takes an absurdly comical approach when making work that provokes tension between performers, materials, and audience, while questioning traditional labor and gender roles and economies.
